Poetry Tuesday

Poetry Tuesday is an event I have just been introduced to. You can post your own or others' poems. A lovely notion, and I always find that it's good to have some external impetus to encourage me to do things I love.

So to start off, a short poem by Wendy Cope:

Another Unfortunate Choice

I think I am in love with A.E. Housman,
Which puts me in a worse-than-usual fix.
No woman ever stood a chance with Housman
And he's been dead since 1936.

...so there. Perhaps it will be one of mine next time.
